Welcome to Virginia!!

Here are some pictures of our FIRST REAL vacation!  We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of very beautiful places in Virginia!

First we visited Busch Gardens...thank you Uncle Sam!!  This is very fun place, very well kept and a whole lot of fun for everyone!!
We arrived at the park at 10 am and left at closing 9pm!

It was a long day and everyone slept like a rock that night!

We visited a Military Family beach in Chesapeake Bay on Fort Story!  We found crabs and Josh chased the seagulls and had fun burying people in the sand!
We scored and rented a trailer for 3 nights!  It was so fun!  The kids absolutely loved the experience.  We visited the Cape Henry Lighthouse and the kids got to go all the way to the top of the retired light house!
We rented a couple of paddle boats...which I remember riding in at Lagoon as a little kid once.  I remember it being so fun...that must be because I wasn't the one pedaling.  It was still fun but next time I think I'll take the canoe!!  I could not figure out how to steer that dumb thing for nothing...but Hailey stepped in and rescued me!  It gives me hope for when she starts driving! (you realize that is only 6 years away, right?)

Poor Little Guy!

What can I say...He is out numbered!  This morning this is what I was greeted with amongst a bunch of giggles and smiles!  He's a pretty good sport...Don't you think?

A Big Day at our House!!

I have to admit that I am a Sucker!  I gave in...but don't they look pretty?

We made it through...and tear free...I might add!  The girls who pierced their ears said that they were the first six year olds that they have ever had that DID NOT cry!  They are some tough girls!  But as you might know...they have had their share of being poked with their medical history!  What beautiful girls!!

We want to wish all of you a Happy Father's Day!  Most of you probably don't even look at our blog...just to find out...whoever posts a comment at the end of this post will be entered into a drawing to see who MY favorite man is!!  So you'll have to check out "The Blog" to enter and I guess we'll see who loves us the most in return!!!  Unfortunately all the wonderful men in our life are not pictured here...I don't have pictures of all of you and those that I do...my scanner is not functional at this time, but we love you too! (Uncle Greg, Great Grandpa Nearman, Uncle Joe, Uncle Jed, the late Uncle Jim, Grandpa Abbott and you other wonderful men that have gone before us as well as those who are living a distance away!)  We are grateful for each of you!
To my Husband and Father of our children, you are truly a man of kindness and charity.  We appreciate your gentleness and love and all that you are.  I'm very grateful for you and love you with my whole heart!
And to my Dad, you are the best Dad in the whole world.  I know that you haven't been feeling the best these days but I love you and wouldn't trade my wonderful memories of you for anything in the world.  I appreciate your sacrifices for ALL of us.  You ARE a wonderful Dad!
In case you were all wondering why you received NOTHING in the mail this year....well I'll tell you.   My groove was incredibly thrown off by a bout of the chicken pox which put us all on quarantine for a period of time!  Please don't think that you were forgotten...you are all dearly loved...we are just trying to keep our little noses above water!  Thanks again to each of you for your phone calls, comments, emails and prayers for our family.  You are the BEST!
Here is a small tribute to you Fathers who dedicate your life to Families.  We couldn't do it without you.  This is also dedicated to our Heavenly Father who deserves a Father's Day gift as much as anyone.  We are grateful for our many blessings!!!

...and for my next trick!!

Don't forget the pause the music player in the sidebar so you can hear the videos!!

My kids can do anything (spoken like a true mother, right?)...Little Man is so funny about cracking eggs though!  One day I was baking cookies or something and he just grabbed an egg and started going to work...here he is doing it again.  Only this time I was prepared, unlike the last one that went all over the floor and everything else for that matter! He did it the other day and got a little over zealous and burned his arm so hopefully he'll be a little more cautious and take it slowly.   This video is so funny and makes him feel so proud.  Whenever he watches it he says, "again, again!!!!!!"  Go ahead watch you'll see!!
Isn't he darling!!!!
